POSITION SUMMARY

The Resident Service Engineer will be responsible for end to end servicing function, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, warranty services, and customer technical support for Data Center Cooling Solutions across Malaysia, Thailand and other SEA countries if required. Malaysia & Thailand is the priority.

The position holder will act as the primary technical service interface between customers and the APAC Projects & After Market Services organization, ensuring reliable operation and optimal performance of Air Handling Units (AHUs), CRAH/CRAC systems. Chillers, cooling controls, and associated thermal management equipment will come up in the future. The role supports the project lifecycle from ongoing service operations and aftermarket support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Service & Maintenance
• Conduct preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities based on Customer mandate.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures.
• Provide emergency breakdown support.
• Perform system health checks and service inspections.
• Support annual maintenance contracts and service agreements if we engage with Customer for these support requests.
• Recommend system upgrades and reliability improvements.
• Spare parts sales of small amounts plus spot services Revenue opportunities

• Technical Troubleshooting
• Troubleshoot:
• Air Handling Units (present)
• CRAH / CRAC Units (present)
• Chiller systems (in future)
• Identify root causes of equipment issues.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate escalation support with APAC engineering teams when required.

• Customer Engagement
• Act as the technical service face of the company at customer locations.
• Build long-term relationships with:
• Data Center Operators
• Facility Managers
• Global stakeholders, Auditors
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through responsive service delivery

• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate service records and site reports.
• Prepare commissioning reports and maintenance reports.
• Document technical issues and resolutions.
• Submit service visit reports promptly.
• Maintain warranty and equipment history records.

• Health, Safety & Compliance
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with customer EHS requirements.
• Follow regional statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture on customer sites.

• Testing & Validation
• Perform system validation and performance verification activities.
• Ensure system performance meets contractual and operational requirements.
• Prepare testing and validation reports.
• Support project acceptance and customer sign-off activities.

• Installation, Commissioning & Site Support
• Support installation & Commissioning team for Data Center Cooling Solutions at customer sites.
• Verify installation quality and compliance whenever required.
• Base and Travel
• Based in Malaysia with in-country and outside countries Thailand travel to support business with multinational companies that are designated customers and their data centers.
• Resident at the designated customer and their data centers, travel between the designated the data centers based on schedules and needs.
• Enablement:
• Selected candidate will be trained at Chennai and Spain factories on the product and continuous updates and upgrade trainings will be done for being fully ready and prepared at all times
