Our client is a plastics injection moulding manufacturing located at Ulu Tiram, Johor.

Job description

• Source and procure raw materials, packaging materials, components, and indirect materials required for production
• Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and monitor delivery schedules to ensure on-time material availability
• Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, quotations, quality issues, and delivery performance
• Negotiate costs, payment terms, and supply agreements to achieve cost savings
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Production, Planning, and Warehouse teams
• Evaluate supplier performance and develop alternative sources to minimize supply risks
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures
• Prepare purchasing reports and maintain accurate procurement records
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives

Job Requirement

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in plastic injection moulding, electronics, automotive, or related manufacturing industries will be an advantage
• Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skill
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office application
• Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities
