The Senior HR Associate plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources function by managing end-to-end recruitment for junior-level positions, overseeing people operations throughout the employee lifecycle, and driving employee engagement initiatives. This role requires an independent, proactive, organized, and people-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering a positive employee experience while ensuring HR processes are executed efficiently and in compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Manage the full recruitment cycle for junior-level positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring requirements and provide recruitment support.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and provide regular hiring updates to stakeholders.
People Operations
- Support the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmation, employee movements, and offboarding.
- Prepare and maintain HR documentation such as employment contracts, confirmation letters, transfer letters, and separation documents.
- Ensure employee records and HR systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond to employee enquiries and provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Support HR administrative processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment legislation.
Employee Engagement
- Actively involved in planning, coordinating, and leading the execution of employee engagement initiatives, wellness programmes, celebrations, and company events throughout the year.
- Collaborate closely with the Employee Engagement team to develop and implement initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture.
- Coordinate event logistics, communications, vendor management, and budget tracking where applicable.
- Prepare presentation materials for town hall meetings and other internal communications.
- Facilitate and host small-scale employee engagement activities.
- Gather employee feedback and recommend initiatives to enhance employee engagement and overall employee experience.
General HR Support
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR processes and employee experience.
- Prepare HR reports and provide administrative support as required.
- Perform other HR-related duties assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 till 6 years of Human Resources experience, preferably with exposure to recruitment, HR operations, and employee engagement.
- Good understanding of Malaysian Employment Act and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems (HRIS).
- An independent and proactive team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of ownership.
