Own It:


  • Lead and oversee general ledger management, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, and cost allocations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Establish and strengthen internal controls, ensuring proper documentation and compliance across all financial processes.
  • Own the end-to-end corporate tax compliance cycle, including preparation, review, and coordination of corporate income tax submissions to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage tax provision schedules, deferred tax calculations, and tax reconciliations in accordance with MFRS 112 (Income Taxes).
  • Take full accountability for Withholding Tax (WHT) obligations on cross-border transactions, ensuring accurate deduction, remittance, and reporting to LHDN.
  • Support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities to optimize tax positions while ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations.


Build Trust:


  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Direct the preparation and review of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, cash flow reports, and other statutory financial disclosures.
  • Ensure full compliance with IFRS/MFRS, Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements, and all relevant statutory obligations.
  • Act as the primary liaison with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies during audits, assessments, and inquiries.
  • Champion strong governance, ethics, and accounting principles to maintain credibility and trust with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate and reliable financial and tax reporting that supports sound decision-making and organizational transparency.


One Team:


  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of finance and tax professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear performance objectives, provide coaching and feedback, and develop succession plans to build a high-performing team.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Procurement, HR, Operations, and Commercial teams to assess accounting and tax implications of contracts, business initiatives, and restructuring exercises.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with Group Finance and Treasury on Transfer Pricing documentation and related party transaction reporting (RRPT) requirements in line with Malaysian regulations.

  • Drive operational excellence by ensuring timely financial close, reporting, and tax compliance activities.
  • Monitor and adapt proactively to changes in tax legislation, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide practical and timely tax advisory support to facilitate agile business decision-making, particularly for new products, revenue streams, digital services, and strategic partnerships.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery across finance and tax functions

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal business units, balancing commercial needs with sound financial stewardship and tax risk management.
  • Ensure responsiveness, professionalism, and service excellence in all stakeholder engagements.


Drive Innovation:


  • Lead initiatives to modernize finance and tax processes, reporting practices, and system utilization.
  • Leverage analytics and financial data to identify tax planning opportunities, manage effective tax rates (ETR), and maximize available incentives.
  • Champion the adoption of tax and finance technologies, including ERP-integrated tax modules, e-Filing platforms, and automation tools.
  • Drive digital transformation through tax analytics, automated reconciliations, real-time reporting dashboards, and continuous process innovation.
  • Support Pos Malaysia’s broader transformation agenda by embedding technology-driven solutions across finance operations.


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, MICPA, or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, and taxation.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Experience within a listed company environment is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in Big 4 or reputable accounting/tax advisory firms will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience managing corporate tax, SST, WHT, Transfer Pricing, and financial reporting activities.
  • Strong experience handling LHDN tax audits, field audits, desk audits, and tax investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of the Income Tax Act 1967, Sales Tax Act 2018, Service Tax Act 2018, Stamp Act 1949, and related Malaysian tax regulations.
  • Deep understanding of MFRS/IFRS standards, particularly MFRS 112 (Income Taxes) and related reporting requirements.
  • Experience with Transfer Pricing documentation and related party transaction reporting requirements.
  • Proficient in SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and financial modelling techniques.
  • Familiarity with LHDN e-Services, MySST Portal, and RMCD e-Services platforms.
