Junior Lab Technician (3–4 YOE)

Location: Penang, Malaysia (On-site)

Salary：3-5kMYR

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Lab Technician to support daily lab operations, hardware setup, and basic system validation tasks. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work with hardware, system setup, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up platforms (internal boards / customer boards)

• Install and replace hardware components (SSD, NIC, DIMM, etc.)

• Perform basic OS installation and system setup

• Handle basic soldering and hardware rework (e.g., blue wire, resistor changes)

• Support lab equipment setup (oscilloscope, DAQ, thermal tools, etc.)

• Assist with inventory management and logistics

• Maintain lab environment (cable management, 6S, cleanliness)

• Perform basic hardware screening and validation

Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor’s in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field

• 0–4 years of experience (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)

• Basic knowledge of PC hardware / embedded systems

• Familiar with hardware installation (SSD, RAM, NIC, etc.)

• Hands-on experience with lab tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.) is a plus

• Willing to work in a lab environment and handle physical hardware tasks

Nice to Have

• Experience with soldering or hardware rework

• Basic understanding of Linux / OS installation

• Internship experience in hardware / lab / testing environment
