Looking for : Excavator Operator (Construction)

Salary Range: SGD 1,500 - SGD 2,000

As an ExcavatorOperator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to supportunderground cable installation, manhole construction, and other civil worksrelated to electrical and telecommunication infrastructure projects. You willensure safe, efficient, and precise excavation in compliance with projectspecifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and related heavy equipment for trenching, cable laying, manhole construction, and road reinstatement works.
• Perform excavation according to engineering drawings and site instructions, ensuring minimal disruption to existing utilities.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and positioning materials and equipment at work sites.
• Work closely with site engineers and foremen to achieve daily project targets.
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE while operating equipment.
• Support cable installation teams during trench preparation and backfilling operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area after excavation.
• Report any mechanical issues, hazards, or near-miss incidents promptly to the site supervisor.
• Comply with all company, statutory, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating excavators in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Prior experience in underground cable or telecommunication pipeline works preferred.
• Valid Excavator Operator License and relevant safety certifications (e.g., WSQ or MOM-approved).
• Familiarity with SP Group and LTA worksite requirements is an advantage.
• Strong awareness of underground utility safety and cable protection procedures.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors under varying conditions.
• Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and extended hours when required.
