Looking for : Registered Earth Supervisor RES (Construction)

Salary Range: SGD 1,500 - SGD 2,000

The Registered Earthworks Supervisor (RES) is responsible for overseeing all earthworks activities on-site, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safe execution of excavation works. This role is critical in supporting underground cable installation, manhole construction, and reinstatement works, while safeguarding existing utilities and maintaining workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all earthworks activities, including excavation, trenching, and backfilling for underground power and telecommunication cable installations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements under the Building Control Act and relevant authority guidelines (e.g., LTA, SP Group).
• Conduct pre-excavation checks to identify and protect existing underground utilities.
• Liaise with project engineers, site supervisors, and contractors to align earthworks with project schedules and technical specifications.
• Monitor site safety and enforce adherence to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of excavation activities, permits, and inspections.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and operators to ensure proper excavation methods are applied.
• Coordinate reinstatement works to restore roads, footpaths, and landscaped areas after cable installation.
• Report hazards, incidents, and non-compliance issues promptly to management.
• Support quality assurance by conducting inspections during and after earthworks.

Requirements

• Must be a certified Registered Earthworks Supervisor (RES) under BCA/WSH regulations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil or infrastructure projects, preferably in underground cable and telecommunication works.
• Strong knowledge of excavation safety, utility protection, and reinstatement processes.
• Familiarity with SP Group and LTA requirements for underground works.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage site teams and liaise with authorities.
• Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments.
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and extended hours when required.
