Job Summary
Support funeral operations by assisting in the collection and transportation of the deceased, setting up funeral venues, aiding en-coffin and post-cremation services, and performing administrative duties with compassion and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily administrative and operational tasks to support funeral services efficiently
- Assist in collecting and transporting deceased individuals from hospitals, mortuaries, and designated locations safely and respectfully
- Set up funeral wake venues by arranging equipment, furnishings, and ceremonial items to ensure smooth proceedings
- Support en-coffin procedures and funeral send-off processions to facilitate respectful ceremonies
- Assist with post-cremation services by collecting ashes and coordinating their placement at temples, columbaria, sea burials, or other designated sites
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to prepare and manage documentation related to funeral operations
- Emcee funeral services and ceremonies when required to guide proceedings with sensitivity
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy when interacting with bereaved families to provide respectful support
- Work reliably both independently and collaboratively within the team to maintain service quality
- Adapt to flexible working hours including weekends, public holidays, late nights, and early mornings as needed
- Perform manual handling and operational duties involving heavy lifting and equipment setup safely
Required competencies and certifications
- Valid Class 3 Driving Licence to operate vehicles for transportation duties
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Ability to emcee funeral services and ceremonies to assist in guiding events
Other Information
- Pay Range: $2k - $2.8k (not inclusive of Variable Bonus)
