Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and service-oriented Duty Manager to oversee the hotel's daily operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The successful candidate will lead operational teams, resolve guest concerns, coordinate inter-departmental activities, and ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards.
The Duty Manager serves as the management representative during assigned shifts and plays a key role in maintaining service quality, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the hotel's daily operations during assigned shifts.
- Lead and supervise Front Office, Housekeeping, and operational staff.
- Ensure smooth coordination between all hotel departments.
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally.
- Monitor room inventory, occupancy, arrivals, and departures.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, workplace safety requirements, and service standards.
- Prepare daily operational reports and maintain accurate shift documentation.
- Manage manpower deployment and respond to operational challenges.
- Handle emergency situations and coordinate with relevant authorities when necessary.
- Coach and develop team members to improve service performance.
- Support hotel management in achieving operational and business objectives.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel operations.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel Property Management Systems (e.g., Cloudbeds, Opera, or similar).
- Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in boutique or full-service hotel operations.
- Knowledge of hotel revenue management and guest service standards.
- First Aid or Workplace Safety certification is an advantage.
