Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS)

Job Location: BK5 Bandar Kinrara Puchong

Job Summary
Lead and oversee the commercial, contractual and cost management functions of construction and property development projects, ensuring effective cost control, successful contract administration and maximum project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project budgeting, cost planning, forecasting and commercial management.
• Manage tendering, procurement and subcontractor selection from tender to award.
• Review and negotiate contracts, variation orders (VO), extension of time (EOT) claims and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, financial performance and prepare management reports.
• Review and certify progress claims, subcontractor claims and payment recommendations.
• Advise management on commercial risks, contractual matters and cost-saving initiatives.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and government authorities on commercial issues.
• Supervise, mentor and guide QS staff to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in construction or property development.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement, tendering and cost management.
• Experience handling multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and QS software.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
