Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment plant in accordance with established operating procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections of treatment equipment, pumps, blowers, tanks, pipelines, and instrumentation.
• Monitor process parameters such as pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), MLSS, COD, BOD, turbidity, and flow rates.
• Collect wastewater and treated effluent samples for laboratory analysis.
• Adjust chemical dosing and process settings to maintain optimum treatment performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and report abnormalities to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate operational logs, maintenance records, and daily reports.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, company policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel and external contractors during equipment servicing and plant shutdowns.
• Handle chemicals safely and ensure proper storage and inventory control.Handle scheduled waste packing and disposal.
• Maintain good housekeeping within the WWTP and surrounding areas.
• Respond to emergency situations such as equipment failures, chemical spills, or treatment upsets.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reduce operating costs.

Job Requirement:

• Certificate or vocational training in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in wastewater treatment plant operations, utilities, or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, pumps, blowers, valves, and chemical dosing systems.
• Able to perform routine inspections, equipment monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
• Physically fit and willing to work in a plant operation environment.

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
