We are looking for engaging individuals with a genuine passion for inspiring support for UNHCR’s humanitarian efforts. As the leading international action to protect people forced to flee, we’re seeking for highly motivated individuals to join our fundraising team and make an impact.

In this contract role, you will promote and raise funds for UNHCR’s critical work in Malaysia and worldwide - supporting families forced to flee conflict, war, and violence. UNHCR delivers life‑saving assistance such as food, shelter, water, and essential items; safeguards fundamental rights; and provides long‑term support including access to education, skills training, and livelihood opportunities. These interventions help displaced families rebuild their futures with safety, dignity, and renewed hope.

This position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

• Competitive base salary: RM2,600

What you’ll be doing:

• Engage with the public to share UNHCR’s work and humanitarian impact.
• Promote fundraising initiatives and encourage monthly donor sign-ups
• Work closely with the wider UNHCR team to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies and best practices
• Providing excellent customer service and uphold UNHCR’s professional image

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in sales, customer service or fundraising is an added advantage – however fresh graduates are welcome!
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident speaking to people
• Genuine passion for humanitarian work
• Good organisational habits and reliability
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and road trips
