1. Operations & Maintenance

l Monitor, maintain, and optimize plant equipment and utilities to ensure smooth operations.

l Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.

l Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in machinery and plant systems.

2. Project & Improvement

l Lead engineering improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize costs.

l Support capital projects, installation, and commissioning of new equipment.

l Ensure modifications and upgrades comply with engineering standards and safety guidelines.

3. Safety & Compliance

l Ensure adherence to workplace safety, health, and environmental policies (e.g., OSHA, DOE, DOSH).

l Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions for identified hazards.

l Maintain proper documentation of equipment, procedures, and compliance records.

4. Collaboration & Reporting

l Coordinate with production, procurement, and external contractors for plant activities.

l Prepare engineering reports, downtime analysis, and cost-saving proposals.

l Support training and technical guidance for plant operators and technicians.

Authority

• Recommend and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
• Approve requisition of spare parts, tools, and materials within the approved budget.
• Supervise contractors, technicians, and operators for plant-related activities.
• Stop any unsafe operations or practices that may endanger personnel, equipment, or the environment.
• Provide technical input in supplier evaluation, equipment selection, and engineering projects.
• Escalate critical issues to the Plant Manager/Engineering Manager for decision-making.

Education Background:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).

Language:

• Bahasa Malaysia/Mandarin/English

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and utility systems.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and ISO systems.
