Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore for a Research Analyst / Senior Research Analyst / Associate Research Fellow. The role involves conducting qualitative and quantitative research on social cohesion, including literature reviews, data collection, and analysis. The individual will prepare research papers, policy briefs, reports, and commentary pieces, and may contribute to academic publications. Responsibilities include monitoring regional and global developments, supporting research projects and grants, and participating in seminars, conferences, and stakeholder engagements. The role also requires collaboration with colleagues, effective communication of findings to diverse audiences, and contribution to RSIS’ research clusters and activities where relevant.
Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills and Research capabilities, including the ability to design studies, synthesize complex information, and generate evidence-based insights.
• Familiarity with policy or social issues-related to regional and global trends in social cohesion
• Knowledge of Statistics and quantitative methods for data analysis, interpretation, and presentation of research findings.
• Excellent Communication skills, including clear academic and policy writing, as well as effective presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• A good undergraduate or postgraduate degree (Master’s or equivalent) in social sciences, or related disciplines; a PhD or progress toward one is advantageous for senior levels.
• Demonstrated interest in security, strategic studies, or regional affairs, with prior research or policy experience considered beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic academic and policy environment.
• Commitment to professional integrity, respectful dialogue, and adherence to RSIS’ standards of academic and policy conduct.
