Role Description The Environmental Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Environmental Officer will monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, company policies, and ESG commitments across Kinergy’s sustainable energy and engineering projects. The role involves conducting environmental impact assessments, preparing reports, and recommending mitigation measures to support responsible project planning and operations. The Environmental Officer will collaborate with project teams, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to address environmental issues, manage audits and inspections, and support continuous improvement in environmental performance. The role also includes contributing to environmental policy development, supporting the ASCENT ESG Campaign, and promoting awareness of best practices among internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Environmental Compliance and Environmental Impact Assessment.
• Candidates should possess skills in Environmental Policy and understanding of key Environmental Issues relevant to energy and infrastructure projects.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with Environmental Law and applicable national and regional regulatory frameworks.
• Candidates should possess the ability to analyze environmental data, prepare clear reports, and recommend practical mitigation measures.
• Relevant academic background in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors, especially within Southeast Asia, is an advantage.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work on-site and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in using environmental monitoring tools, MS Office, and report-writing software is beneficial
