Playful Pathways Consultancy provides early intervention, parent coaching, and developmental support for children aged 2 to 12. The organization focuses on early intervention and positive parenting, using evidence-based frameworks such as DIR Floortime, naturalistic teaching, and family-centred care.

Services are tailored to the needs of each child and family to promote meaningful developmental progress.

Support is delivered in-home and in community settings, allowing children to learn and grow in familiar environments. Team members collaborate closely with families to create practical, strengths-based plans that fit everyday routines.

• This is a full-time hybrid Intern role based in the Klang Valley, with some work-from-home flexibility.

• The intern will:
• Receive structured training on DIR Floortime, Child centred practice, and EIP
• Have opportunities to observe and assist in intervention sessions
• Daily tasks include documenting session notes, community outreach, and other relevant tasks for the company.
• The intern will assist in parent coaching preparation, such as organizing resources, and drafting simple guides.
• Complete a capstone project for their learning and development in the early intervention industry

• Interest in child development, psychology, education, or related fields
• Currently ongoing or completed studies in a relevant discipline (psychology, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, early childhood education, special needs education).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members in diverse family contexts.
• Ability to learn and implement evidence-based frameworks such as positive behaviour support and naturalistic teaching, with openness to training and supervision.
• Organizational and time management skills for handling documentation, scheduling, and session preparation in a hybrid work setting.
• Possesses own transportation to travel to sessions
• Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred
• Basic proficiency with digital tools for record-keeping, online communication, and remote collaboration.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to learn quickly, with a genuine interest in early intervention and positive parenting approaches.
