Job Description

Responsibilities

Content Creator — The BrandLaureate / The World Brands Foundation

Petaling Jaya, Malaysia (on-site) | Full-time | 1–3 years experience

About us

The BrandLaureate, under The World Brands Foundation, is a Singapore-headquartered global brand recognition institution with over 20 years of history across 80+ countries. We're growing our content presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and beyond — and we need a creative, self-driven storyteller to help us bring our brand to life, daily.

The role

We're hiring a Content Creator to own daily video content — from shoot to edit to post. You'll capture our events, leadership, and behind-the-scenes moments, turn them into scroll-stopping content, and publish on a timely, strategic schedule. You'll work closely with our General Manager and social media team to keep our content calendar moving and our brand voice consistent.

What you'll do

• Shoot and edit daily short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn video) plus supporting photography

• Plan and post content on a consistent, strategic schedule across platforms

• Bring your own content ideas to the table — and run with them, not just wait for direction

• Film events, interviews, and leadership moments with professionalism and discretion

• Work closely with the General Manager and social media/marketing team on messaging and campaign tie-ins

• Keep an eye on trends, formats, and platform best practices, and adapt our content accordingly

• Maintain visual consistency with brand guidelines across all output

What we're looking for

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in photography, videography, and video editing (portfolio/reel required)

• Proficiency with editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Photoshop/Lightroom

• A strong eye for visual storytelling and an instinct for what makes content perform

• Proactive and idea-driven — someone who pitches concepts and can execute them independently

• Comfortable working to daily deadlines without sacrificing quality

• Organized and reliable in managing a content calendar and juggling multiple shoots/edits at once

• Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (spoken and written) — you'll be creating content for a diverse, multilingual audience

• A bubbly, personable presence — someone comfortable being around people and occasionally on camera

• Willing to learn, take feedback, and grow with the role

• A collaborative team player who works well with leadership and cross-functional teams

Bonus points

• Experience creating content for a corporate, events, or awards/recognition brand

• Basic copywriting skills for captions and hooks

• Familiarity with social media analytics and using performance data to refine content strategy

• Own camera/gimbal/audio equipment
