What The Role Is
You are responsible for the management of training programmes and safety operations, specifically Water Survival Training (WST), for all Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) aircrews and personnel flying onboard RSAF aircraft. This encompasses overseeing scheduling, coordination, and conduct of WST, as well as the procurement and management of WST equipment.
What You Will Be Working On
- Plan, coordinate and oversee key training activities
- Conduct aircrew survival classroom lessons and swimming training for trainees
- Coordinate with internal and external agencies for ejection seat training
- Manage and maintain the training equipment in support of WST activities
- Coordinate with supporting units and agencies for training facilities, medical support, lifeguard services, transportation, and camp entry clearances
- Review, maintain, and update casualty evacuation plans and training records
- Oversee safety education and safety management of Aviation Flight
- Conduct Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) internal audits
Challenge(s) - Ensuring the consistent upkeeping and maintenance of WST equipment to meet operational readiness and safety standards across all RSAF flying platforms
- Managing the coordination of multiple stakeholders and external agencies to deliver seamless and safe training programmes
What We Are Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience in safety and training, preferably with experience in land and water survival training
- Ability to conduct trainings and perform learning assessments
- Experience in land and water survival training and safety management systems
- Knowledge of procurement and transaction processes
- Competent in risk assessment and audit management
- Passion for inspiring the next generation of RSAF aircrews
