About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join a leading multinational organisation specialising in project logistics, freight forwarding, and heavy industrial cargo solutions.

Based in Klang Valley, this role is responsible for coordinating international freight movements across sea, air, and land transportation while ensuring seamless shipment execution, excellent customer service, and efficient operational support.

This opportunity is ideal for logistics professionals who enjoy working in fast-paced international logistics environments, coordinating complex shipments, and liaising with customers, overseas offices, shipping lines, and transport partners across the region.

Mandarin language proficiency is a key requirement, as the role involves regular communication with Mandarin-speaking customers, suppliers, freight partners, and regional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Freight & Shipment Coordination

• Coordinate end-to-end international shipments across sea, air, and land freight.
• Arrange bookings with shipping lines, airlines, hauliers, and logistics partners.
• Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely cargo collection and delivery.
• Prepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance with import/export regulations and customs requirements.
• Track shipment progress and proactively communicate updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate project cargo, heavy lift, and specialised freight movements where required.

Operations Management

• Maintain accurate shipment records and operational documentation.
• Coordinate with overseas offices, agents, warehouses, transport providers, and customs brokers to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Support project logistics activities, including cargo inspections, site coordination, and transportation planning.
• Resolve operational issues promptly while maintaining service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and operational guidelines.

Commercial & Customer Support

• Prepare freight quotations and coordinate pricing with carriers and service providers.
• Source competitive freight rates while balancing service quality and cost efficiency.
• Assist customers with shipment enquiries and provide professional logistics solutions.
• Support invoicing, billing, and cost verification activities.
• Build strong customer relationships by delivering responsive and reliable logistics support.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with customers, overseas offices, shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, and customs authorities.
• Collaborate with internal operations, project logistics, and commercial teams to ensure successful shipment execution.
• Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders to support long-term customer satisfaction.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, project logistics, or shipping operations.
• Hands-on experience coordinating sea, air, and road freight.
• Good understanding of customs procedures, shipping documentation, and international freight operations.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.

Mandatory Requirement

Fluent in both Mandarin and English (spoken and written) to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers, suppliers, and regional stakeholders.
