Company Description Johor Project Development (Project Owner)


Role Description The MEP Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Johor. The position will serve as a Client representative for all its development in Johor. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for construction projects, ensuring they meet design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.


The MEP Project Engineer will assist in scheduling, cost control, and quality assurance, prepare progress reports, and support compliance with local codes and regulations. The role also involves attending site meetings, conducting inspections, and proactively identifying risks or opportunities for improvement in project execution.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) knowledge, with hands-on experience in coordinating MEP systems on construction projects.
  • Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, including understanding of HVAC, mechanical systems design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills, including familiarity with power distribution, lighting, low-voltage systems, and relevant standards.
  • Candidates should possess Plumbing skills, including knowledge of water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems in building and infrastructure projects.
  • Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in mixed development, high rise or commercial building projects is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities, with capacity to work collaboratively on-site and with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards; professional certification or registration is an added benefit.
