Job Description

Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE 

The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong governance over financial processes. This role will work closely with an Offshore Processing Centre (OPC) to streamline shared tasks, monitor service quality, and uphold compliance with internal controls and reporting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of balancing operational execution with process oversight.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Collaboration with Offshore Processing Centre (OPC)

  • Act as the key liaison between onshore finance and OPC teams. 
  • Review and validate work completed by OPC such as PTP processing, accounts coding, payment processes, aging analysis and other related payable reporting schedules.
  • Provide guidance, training, and feedback to OPC teams to ensure quality and service-level adherence.
  • Monitor SLAs, resolve processing issues, and drive continuous improvement across shared processes.


Accounts Payable

  • Review PTP transactions processed by OPC for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage escalations related to vendor payments.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal controls.

  

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure all accounting activities adhere to company policies, financial controls, and audit requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
  • Identify control gaps and propose process improvements.

 

Process Improvement & Standardization

  • Work with OPC and internal teams to streamline workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance system utilization.
  • Participate in systems UAT, digitalization, automation, or finance transformation initiatives.

  

KEY REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a shared services or multinational environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and data-handling abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, closing cycles, and financial controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Experience collaborating with offshore or outsourced finance teams is highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
