Position Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for centralizing the oversight of day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure deployment, and cross-regional project delivery across all operating sites. This role will work closely with the Global IT Director to ensure smooth and reliable IT operations across all sites, while enabling the Global IT Director to focus on architecture, security, HRIS, and broader system-level initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening POET's regional IT execution as the company continues to scale across its operating locations.
Responsibilities
- Centralize oversight of day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure deployment, and cross-regional project delivery across APAC.
- Manage and maintain office IT infrastructure, systems, and network operations across Singapore, Malaysia, and other regional sites.
- Lead IT automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual workload, and standardize processes across regions.
- Plan and execute office infrastructure deployment for new and existing sites, ensuring readiness to support business growth.
- Provide day-to-day IT operational support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure business continuity across all locations.
- Drive project delivery for IT initiatives, ensuring timely execution, clear scope management, and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with regional teams, vendors, and the Global IT Director to ensure operational alignment with broader IT strategy, security, and infrastructure roadmaps.
- Support the Global IT Director by managing operational execution, allowing focus on architecture, security, HRIS, and system-level initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or related roles, with prior experience managing or leading a team preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in IT infrastructure deployment, network operations, and day-to-day operational support.
- Proven track record of successfully executing IT projects and initiatives within agreed timelines and scope.
- Regional exposure supporting IT operations across Singapore, Malaysia, or the broader APAC region preferred.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
