Role Description The ROV Supports Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Puchong. This role involves providing technical support for Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs), including assisting in installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ROV systems and associated tooling. The ROV Supports Engineer will monitor equipment performance, perform diagnostics, and coordinate corrective actions to ensure safe and reliable subsea operations. Responsibilities include preparing technical documentation, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives for ROV procedures and equipment. The role also requires close collaboration with engineering, operations, and client teams to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and effective planning for upcoming projects.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering applicable to ROV systems and subsea equipment.
  • Experience with diagnostics, fault finding, and maintenance of complex electro-mechanical systems or industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of marine or offshore operations, including safety standards, risk awareness, and adherence to relevant industry regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals, and prepare clear technical reports.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and on-site operational teams.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail, with a focus on reliability and operational excellence in demanding environments.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Engineering or a related technical field; prior experience with ROVs, subsea tooling, or offshore projects is an advantage.
  • Willingness to support field operations as needed, including occasional travel and working in challenging environments when required.
