Role Overview:

The Data & AI Solution Architect at Lenovo PCCW Solutions is a pivotal role within our Technology Solutions Group, dedicated to designing and leading the implementation of cutting-edge, data-driven solutions. Based in Hong Kong, this position is responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and innovative data platforms and analytics solutions that align with client strategic objectives and market demands. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure data services, a proven track record in solution design, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business transformation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

* Solution Architecture & Design: Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of robust, scalable, and cost-effective data solutions on the Azure platform. Develop comprehensive technical proposals and architectures that meet client requirements for data analytics, AI, data governance, and business intelligence. Specialize in solutions utilizing Azure Databricks, Azure Fabric, and related cloud data technologies.
* Technical Leadership & Presales Support: Act as a key technical advisor during the presales cycle. Collaborate with business development and presales teams to understand client challenges, define solution scope, and create compelling value propositions. Translate complex business needs into viable, innovative technology architectures and detailed statements of work.
* Delivery Oversight & Governance: Provide architectural governance and technical leadership throughout the project delivery lifecycle. Ensure solutions are implemented according to design specifications, best practices, and quality standards. Work closely with delivery teams, including offshore development centers (ODCs), to resolve technical challenges and ensure successful project execution.
* Innovation & Best Practices: Drive innovation in data solution offerings by staying at the forefront of technology trends in cloud data, analytics, and AI. Establish and promote standard methodologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns for data ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption. Advocate for and implement data governance and security practices using tools like Microsoft Purview.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory: Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients and internal stakeholders. Present and articulate complex architectural concepts and solutions to both technical teams and C-level executives. Build strong relationships with clients, technology partners (especially Microsoft), and internal teams to foster collaboration and ensure alignment.
* Quality & Compliance Assurance: Ensure all designed and delivered solutions adhere to relevant compliance, security, and data privacy standards. Implement quality assurance processes within the solution design phase to mitigate risks and ensure operational excellence post-deployment.
* Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship: Contribute to the growth of the Data CoE (Centre of Excellence) by mentoring junior architects and technical leads. Develop and deliver training sessions on Azure data services, solution architecture, and emerging technologies.

The Person

* A minimum of 8 years of experience in data solution design, architecture, and implementation, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience specifically with Microsoft Azure and/or Databricks products.
* Proven, demonstrable experience leading at least one end-to-end project utilizing Azure Databricks or Azure Fabric for cloud data analytics and processing.
* Possession of valid, relevant professional certifications. The following are highly considered:

* Data Analytics Specialization
* Databricks Certified Solutions Architect

* In-depth, practical knowledge of Microsoft Purview for data governance, cataloging, and lineage.
* Strong background in technical presales, consultancy, or solution architecture, with a demonstrated ability to design solutions that translate business problems into technical strategies.
* Excellent understanding of data management concepts, modern data platform architecture (data lakes, lakehouses, data warehouses), ETL/ELT processes, and analytics tools.
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to engage effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior executives.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously.
