Responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Data Analyst with 2–3 years of experience to join our dynamic Data Science team in Hong Kong.
The Data Science team at Ralph Lauren plays a central role in the company's Global Integrated Business Planning (IBP) initiative. IBP is a business management process that aligns strategic, operational, and financial planning across the organization. Working across regions as part of the IBP Advanced Analytics function, the team owns data science models and analytical tools that support planning capabilities across demand, assortment, and inventory — contributing to a unified, data-driven planning process for the organization globally.
In this role, you will support day-to-day data operations, maintain and monitor automated workflows, and contribute to the ongoing implementation and adoption of IBP tools and capabilities. You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists and the BP&A team to ensure seamless data operations and support the long-term growth of IBP-focused analytics across the Asia Pacific region.
Responsibilities:
Extract, prepare and verify data according to requirements
Develop, implement, and maintain efficient data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow and integration across various systems
Operate and monitor monthly processes and automated tools on data workflow and analytics platforms
Support user queries and debugging for tools and platforms across the team (VBA-related queries are handled by the senior team members)
Support the implementation and adoption of IBP tools and capabilities, including creating workflows and data integrations to connect planning platform outputs to existing tools and reporting
Serve as a liaison between the Data Science team and business users to understand their needs and translate them into actionable data solutions
Maintain comprehensive documentation of code and processes
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) in science or a related quantitative field
2–3 years of hands-on experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, IT, or related quantitative fields
Experience with Python
Proficiency in relational databases and SQL
Knowledge and understanding of data storytelling and creating visualizations (using Tableau, Power BI or equivalent)
Experience with data workflow automation and analytics platforms (e.g., Dataiku, o9, Databricks, AWS, or equivalent) is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Eagerness to learn and adapt to the latest technologies and methodologies in the industry
Knowledge of VBA and Excel Macros is not required but considered an advantage
