Job Description

Responsibilities

Senior HRD Officer- Training & development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company's annual training plan and training budget.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) in collaboration with department managers.
  • Coordinate internal and external training programmes, workshops, seminars, and certification courses.
  • Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and post-training evaluations.
  • Maintain comprehensive employee training records and competency matrices.
  • Ensure mandatory training compliance, including safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage HRD Corp claims, grant applications, and documentation.
  • Develop competency frameworks for technical, supervisory, and management positions.
  • Coordinate career development programmes and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
  • Support succession planning initiatives for critical positions.
  • Identify and develop high-potential employees.
  • Recommend leadership development programmes.
  • Coordinate annual and probation performance appraisal exercises.
  • Support managers in KPI setting and performance reviews.
  • Monitor performance improvement plans and employee development progress.
  • Generate HR reports and performance analytics for management.
  • Assist with recruitment onboarding and orientation programmes.
  • Develop and update HR policies, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with Malaysian labour laws and company policies.
  • Maintain HRD documentation for ISO, audits, and customer compliance requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen activities where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of HR experience with at least 2–3 years specialising in Learning & Development or Human Resource Development.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with HRD Corp claim submission and training administration is an advantage.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Project management and coordination capability.
  • Strong leadership and coaching mindset.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
