Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Procurement Executive to manage the company's procurement activities and ensure the timely sourcing of quality materials, products, and services at competitive prices. The successful candidate will be responsible for supplier management, purchase planning, cost negotiation, inventory coordination, and ensuring procurement processes comply with company policies and operational requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and the capability to work closely with internal departments and external suppliers to support business operations efficiently.

Job Scope / Key Responsibilities

• Procurement Operations
• Order Execution: Plan, verify, and issue purchase orders (POs) for raw materials based on PRs released by the Production department, ensuring adequate lead times are met.
• Indirect Purchasing: Oversee the end-to-end procurement of indirect materials, including Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO), factory consumables, IT equipment, CAPEX, and facility service contracts.
• Expediting: Coordinate closely with suppliers to guarantee timely deliveries and actively follow up on material shortages reported by the Production department to prevent line downtime.
• System Integrity: Data-enter and maintain all active POs, pricing structures, and supplier information within the company's SAP system.
• Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
• Sourcing: Identify and source reliable new suppliers for technical components and external services as requested by Engineering, Production, or other corporate departments.
• Performance Evaluation: Systematically review supplier performance and make structured recommendations to management regarding supplier changes or consolidation to improve overall operational efficiency.
• Alternative Sourcing: Partner with Engineering and suppliers to discuss material quality matters and evaluate viable alternative components to mitigate supply risks.
• Cost Optimization
• Commercial Negotiation: Periodically review, negotiate and establish optimal pricing and payment terms with suppliers to support corporate cost-down initiatives.
• Logistics Optimization: Analyze ordered quantities against transportation and freight charges, formulate and recommend strategies to management to minimize incidental purchasing costs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Technology Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment, handling a mix of direct components and indirect factory/corporate spend.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 management standards and proficiency with SAP systems.
• Advanced negotiation, planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be an excellent team player with strong communications and conversational skills in English.

Working Days & Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (including 1-hour lunch break)

Salary

• RM3,000 to RM5,000 per month

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
