About the Roles
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor (Building Construction) to join a permanent role based in Kaki Bukit, working on a 5-day week schedule (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM). This position offers a structured work arrangement with Basic Salary + OT Pay, making it a strong opportunity for professionals looking for stability and overtime earning potential within the construction industry.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive tendering activities by securing new projects and managing contracts from initial tender stage through to final completion
- Prepare comprehensive tender and contract documentation, including Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and project specifications
- Conduct feasibility reviews with project teams, supporting cost planning, value engineering, and project assessment
- Carry out detailed cost analysis, monitor project budgets, and implement cost control measures across all construction stages
- Develop procurement strategies, identify and engage subcontractors and suppliers, and propose cost-efficient solutions
- Evaluate tender submissions, analyse costing outcomes, and prepare management reports for decision-making
- Manage contractual matters including variations, claims, commercial risks, and dispute-related issues
- Assign work packages to subcontractors, assess completed works, and process payment certifications
- Ensure all quantity surveying and contract administration activities comply with ISO standards, company procedures, and the Security of Payment Act (SOP)
- Perform additional duties as required to support project and commercial operations
What We’re Looking For
- A Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline
- At least 4 years of experience in quantity surveying within building construction projects
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of tendering processes, contract administration, cost control, procurement, variations, and progress claims
- Excellent negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities
- Capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
