Job Description

Responsibilities

Total Communication Therapy Pte Ltd (TCT)Singapore | Full-Time

About Us

Total Communication Therapy (TCT) is a specialist practice dedicated to helping children develop language, thinking, learning, executive functioning, social communication, and problem-solving skills.

Our therapists work beyond teaching isolated skills. We seek to understand how children think, learn, communicate, and participate meaningfully in everyday life.

We are looking for passionate individuals who wish to build a long-term career in Educational Therapy.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Linguistics, Psychology, or a closely related discipline from a recognised university.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a strong interest in child development, learning, language, cognition, and neurodevelopment.

Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, language disorders, developmental delay, or learning differences will be advantageous, but is not essential.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent spoken and written Standard English.
  • Is curious, reflective, and enjoys understanding how children learn.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Enjoys working with children and families.
  • Is professional, dependable, and willing to learn.
  • Is able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Takes ownership of personal and professional growth.
  • Is seeking a long-term career rather than a short-term stepping stone.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Deliver individual intervention sessions.
  • Support children’s language, learning, executive functioning, thinking skills, and social communication.
  • Develop therapy plans and intervention goals.
  • Write professional reports.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals.
  • Participate in programme development and team discussions.
  • Attend supervision, mentoring, and professional development activities.

Language Requirements

As language is central to our work, applicants should demonstrate excellent spoken and written Standard English.

Successful candidates should be able to:

  • Model grammatically accurate Standard English.
  • Communicate confidently with parents and schools.
  • Produce clear and professional reports.
  • Explain concepts effectively to children, families, and professionals.

Candidates may be required to complete language and clinical reasoning tasks during the interview process.

Professional Development

TCT provides structured mentoring, supervision, and ongoing professional development.

Areas of training include:

  • Educational Therapy
  • Narrative Language Intervention
  • Executive Functioning
  • Dynamic Assessment
  • Social Cognition
  • Parent Coaching
  • Educational Planning
  • MindWing Concepts
  • Relationship Development Intervention (RDI)

We believe in developing outstanding therapists. In return, we expect our therapists to take ownership of their learning and professional growth.

Working Hours

Tuesday to Saturday.

Working hours generally fall between 9.00am and 7.00pm, depending on client schedules, school visits, home-based sessions, meetings, and operational requirements.

Flexibility in working hours is expected.

Why Join TCT?

At TCT, you will be mentored to become more than a therapist. You will develop the ability to think critically about children’s learning, communication, and development, while working alongside a collaborative team committed to clinical excellence.

To Apply

Please submit:

  • Your resume.
  • A brief cover letter describing:
  • Why you are interested in Educational Therapy.
