We are partnering with a leading regional bank that is currently embarking on a major, multi, year technology modernisation strategy. As part of a newly unified technology and architecture division, we are seeking a visionary Technology Delivery Leader to take end to end accountability for the engineering, release, and production reliability of their flagship digital banking applications.

In this high, impact role, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and engineering execution, driving platform convergence and modern engineering excellence across both Mass Market Retail and Corporate Wholesale channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end to end software development lifecycle, managing a complex portfolio of 20 to 30 concurrent live application projects.
• Direct and optimise a large scale, global delivery organisation of over 300engineers across onshore, offshore, and contractor teams, coaching and maturing engineering chapters and tribe leads.
• Champion modern technical standards across the application stack, enforcing best practices in Microservices, API platforms, DevOps, Containerisation, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to ensure high availability and performance.
• Act as the core delivery pillar translating requirements for both high volume consumer mobile applications and complex, high value transaction banking/wholesale platforms.
• Executive Stakeholder Management: Front high level executive conversations across Technology, Operations, and Business units, driving consensus across differing viewpoints to ensure seamless product delivery.
• Post launch production reliability, ensuring strict compliance with local and regional financial regulatory standards for security and resilience.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in technology delivery leadership within large financial institutions or highly scalable technology organizations.
• Rare, comprehensive channel delivery experience that spans both Consumer Retail banking and Corporate Wholesale/Transaction banking applications.
• Demonstrated success running delivery at scale, managing global, multi, location teams of around 500+ professionals.
• Deep practical command over modern architectural patterns, cloud, native adoption, event, driven architecture, and hybrid Agile / Scaled Agile (SAFe) frameworks.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the polish and confidence to front executive, level conversations with senior business leadership.
