Responsibilities

Job Title: Data Engineer | AWS | Databricks | SQL

Contract Duration: 6 Months (Renewability based on the performance & business needs)

Industry: BPO (Banking)

Working Location: TRX/Klang Valley

Working schedule: Office Hour (Monday - Friday)

Salary & Compensation: Basic Salary Up to RM 6,500 (based on skill and experience) + Statutory contribution + Leave entitlement + Medical insurance

Availability: Can start within July/August 2026


Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines that support business and analytics solutions. In this role, you'll develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines, perform data validation and reconciliation, monitor production workflows, and support deployment activities throughout the data engineering lifecycle.

You'll work with AWS data services, Databricks, SQL, and PostgreSQL to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines to support business and analytics requirements.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitor production data pipelines and investigate data-related incidents.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production verification, and enhancement activities.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and data transformation processes.
  • Work with AWS data services, including S3 and Lambda, to support cloud-based data solutions.
  • Utilize Databricks for data transformation and workflow orchestration.
  • Maintain operational documentation and support pipeline monitoring activities.
  • Apply data modelling principles to support efficient data processing and storage.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields.
  • Strong experience with AWS data services, including S3 and Lambda.
  • Experience using Databricks for data transformation and orchestration.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in data modelling.
  • Experience building and maintaining data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
  • Familiar with pipeline monitoring, production support, and operational documentation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production verification activities.
  • Familiarity with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) concepts in data environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving data pipeline issues in production.
