Element Singapore - Tuas Loop, formerly Admaterials Technologies Pte Ltd, is an advanced material testing laboratory accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council under SAC-SINGLAS. We provide comprehensive testing and consultancy services for construction and related materials.

Job Summary

Lead and manage laboratory operations P&L to ensure compliance, drive financial performance, and deliver customer satisfaction. Develop business growth strategies, enhance technical services, and build a high-performing team focused on environmental chemistry testing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with corporate Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Quality policies to maintain a safe and efficient laboratory environment
  • Manage laboratory Profit and Loss (P&L) and financial performance through monthly reporting and budget accountability
  • Develop and execute operational plans to meet customer timelines and quality requirements consistently
  • Formulate and implement growth strategies focused on organic business expansion and technical service development in environmental chemistry testing
  • Collaborate with sales teams to set targets, support major customer proposals, and maintain strong client relationships to enhance profitability
  • Review and ensure accuracy and compliance of reports and quotes to minimize legal risks and meet contract requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and deploying management tools to enhance processes and skills
  • Provide technical expertise and training to technical personnel to ensure high-quality service delivery and adherence to job requirements
  • Monitor daily health and safety practices, report hazards, near misses, and accidents promptly within areas of responsibility
  • Foster inter-departmental and inter-location collaboration to promote a unified company culture and teamwork
  • Communicate regularly with employees through meetings focused on HSE, technical updates, and performance feedback
  • Define and implement training plans to build technical strength and staff capabilities
  • Motivate and engage the team to achieve superior performance and address employee needs effectively
  • Conduct supervisory duties including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals, rewarding, disciplining, and conflict resolution
  • Provide timely business activity reports and future outlooks to senior management
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support laboratory and business objectives
