Job Description

Responsibilities

Position Summary

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, contract administration, project budgeting, and cost control to ensure projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for construction projects.
  • Take off quantities from drawings and specifications.
  • Evaluate quotations and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project costs and prepare cost reports throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
  • Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on project cost matters.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Support Project Managers with cost planning and budget monitoring.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related construction or engineering discipline.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or the construction industry is preferred. Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are welcome to apply.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, tendering procedures, and cost control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Good analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities.
