Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Management: Oversee daily operations, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and train workers and subcontractors, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support.
  • Safety and Quality: Enforce safety regulations, conduct quality inspections, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, identify potential issues, and take corrective action.
  • Communication: Maintain clear communication with management, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts on site.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and safety inspections.

Specific Tasks May Include:

  • Scheduling and Planning: Developing work schedules, allocating resources, and coordinating activities.
  • Material Management: Ensuring materials are available and used efficiently.
  • Budget Management: Monitoring project costs and ensuring they stay within budget.
  • Quality Control: Inspecting work to ensure it meets project specifications and safety standards.
  • Safety Training: Providing safety training to workers and ensuring they follow safety procedures.
  • Reporting: Preparing daily reports, progress updates, and other management documentation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction management or supervision.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of construction practices, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a specific industry (construction ).
  • Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications.
