We are looking for a responsible and experienced Freight Forwarding Assistant (Export Operations- FCL ) to join our team. The successful candidate should be able to manage some of the export process from preparation of quotation to invoicing, work independently, and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue accurate freight quotations to customers in a timely manner.
- Follow up on quotations and prepare booking confirmations upon customers' confirmation.
- Book FCL containers online with various shipping carriers.
- Arrange and coordinate FCL export shipments and also a small volume of cross-trade shipments.
- Liaise with shippers, hauliers and warehouses to coordinate the timely collection and delivery of containers to and from PSA Port.
- Monitor vessel schedules (ETD/ETA) and keep customers informed of any schedule changes.
- Experienced in Preparing and submitting Shipping Instructions (SI) accurately via shipping lines' online platforms or manually where required.
- Check Bills of Lading and other shipping documents (Subsidary Certificate, PSIC, Certificate of Origin, Insurance) for accuracy before final copies are given to respective parties.
- Understand and apply for Export Permits
- Verify carrier and vendor invoices to ensure all charges are accurate and in accordance with the agreed freight rates and services provided.
- Prepare and issue accurate sales invoices to customers promptly.
- Handle a small volume of import shipments, including documentation, coordination and file management.
- Maintain accurate records of quotations, bookings, shipment files, invoices and customer correspondence.
- Coordinate closely with customers, shipping lines, transport providers and overseas agents to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to enquiries and resolving operational issues.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in freight forwarding. Experience in handling Ocean Freight Export shipment is a must.
- Minimum Education level GCE O Levels.
- Experience in FCL export documentation and shipping procedures.
- Experience in cross-trade shipments will be an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience in handling special equipment shipments, including Flat Rack (FR) and Open Top (OT) containers, will be a strong advantage.
- Familiar with shipping lines' online booking platforms and documentation systems.
- Good communication, Attention to details, and organisational skills.
- Able to work independently, prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel.
- Salary from $2800 to $3200 based on experience.
- Applicants must possess the right to work in Singapore

- 5 days work week with Alternative Saturday (half day)
Pay: $2,800.00 - $3,200.00 per month
