Job Description

Responsibilities

The Architectural Designer plays a key role in supporting the creative and technical development of projects within the studio, contributing to the exploration, articulation, and realisation of design ideas across a range of architectural typologies. Working collaboratively with the Project Architect and project team, the Architectural Designer participates in the studio’s design-driven process—translating research, conceptual thinking, and spatial strategies into clear and thoughtful design outcomes.

This role requires curiosity, strong design sensibility, and the ability to engage critically with evolving cultural contexts and contemporary living patterns. The Architectural Designer contributes to the studio’s pursuit of innovative and experimental aesthetics while supporting the effective coordination and delivery of projects from early design stages through implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support architectural, interior, and landscape design projects to achieve established quality and standards aligned with project objectives
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and design workshops to explore innovative design possibilities and define project design direction
  • Conduct thorough and rigorous design research relevant to project subjects to inform design development
  • Develop design concepts and detailed solutions through all project stages, from feasibility studies to detailed design
  • Prepare presentation materials, material boards, detailed drawings, and contract documentation packages to communicate design intent clearly
  • Apply relevant local building codes and regulations under the guidance of the Project Architect to ensure compliance
  • Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate design and technical requirements
  • Participate in consultant and project meetings to contribute to project administration and coordination
  • Support the Project Architect by conducting site inspections focused on design and technical coordination issues
  • Collaborate and coordinate with team members to deliver collective project assignments efficiently
