Role Description

The Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kota Kinabalu, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of client accounts. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining regular communication with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring services are delivered according to agreed standards and timelines. The role involves preparing proposals, quotations, and reports, as well as tracking account performance and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling services. The Account Manager will coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues, support project execution, and ensure a positive client experience. This role also includes monitoring market trends, participating in client meetings, and contributing to business development initiatives to support company growth.


Qualifications

  • Strong client relationship management skills, including the ability to build trust, handle inquiries, and maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Solid communication and presentation abilities, with clear written and verbal skills suitable for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competence in basic sales, negotiation, and account growth strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools) and comfort working with reports and data.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in account management, customer service, or business development; experience in services or related industries is an advantage.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kota Kinabalu, collaborate across teams, and adapt to changing client and business requirements.
