Responsibilities

A results-driven Marketplace Manager to fully own our end-to-end shelf e-commerce business across majorly Tmall and JD.

This senior role oversees official store operation, in-platform distribution channel portfolio management, overall P&L performance, and team leadership.

Lead dual-platform business strategy, channel governance and operational optimization to sustain scalable top-line growth and profitable business development.

Key Outputs

  • Dual-Platform Business P&L Ownership
  1. Take full accountability for Tmall and JD overall business performance, including GMV, revenue, profitability and market share.
  2. Develop platform-tailored strategies, annual business roadmaps and budget plans to consistently deliver and exceed business targets.
  • In-Platform Multi-Distribution Channel Management
  1. Own the full lifecycle of in-platform distribution and reseller ecosystems on Tmall and JD, including authorized distributors, affiliate channels, partner stores and platform official distribution programs.
  2. Manage channel recruitment, qualification audit, pricing & inventory governance, incentive strategy and channel KPI evaluation.
  3. Standardize channel operation rules, mitigate channel conflicts, and drive channel revenue contribution and healthy ecosystem growth.
  • Full-Store Operational Excellence
  1. Lead end-to-end store operations, covering SKU strategy, traffic growth, search & ranking optimization, platform campaign execution, conversion improvement and user retention.
  2. Continuously align operational tactics with platform policy updates and algorithm iterations.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building
  1. Manage and develop the marketplace operation team, oversee daily workflow, objective setting, performance review and talent development.
  2. Build a high-performance, standardized operation team with strong execution and professional capabilities.
  • Data-Driven Strategy & Optimization
  1. Conduct regular business diagnosis, including traffic structure, conversion efficiency, competitor benchmarking and industry trend analysis.
  2. Deliver actionable optimization plans to improve overall operational efficiency and business profitability.
  • Cross-Functional & Platform Collaboration
  1. Partner closely with Tmall & JD platform teams to secure premium resources.
  2. Collaborate internally with marketing, supply chain, product and customer service teams to ensure seamless campaign delivery, stable supply and compliant operations.

Key Experiences: 

  1. Bachelor’s degree or above.
  2. 10+ years of core shelf e-commerce experience across Tmall and JD, with 3+ years of people management experience.
  3. Proven track record in in-platform multi-distribution channel development and governance, capable of scaling channel business while maintaining standardized control.
  4. Solid full-stack e-commerce expertise in traffic operation, campaign marketing, channel management and data-based business decision-making.
  5. Strong business acumen, result-oriented mindset, excellent cross-team communication skills and ability to drive business growth under fast-paced environments.
