Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
• Implement robust landmark detection and feature extraction techniques to ensure precise overlay of 3D models onto the surgical field within the AR environment.
• Develop and refine sensor fusion algorithms that combine data from multiple sources to provide a coherent, accurate representation of the surgical field.
• Design and implement real-time tracking algorithms for accurate, continuous monitoring of patient anatomy and surgical tools during AR-guided procedures.
• Work on medical image registration techniques to align and fuse different imaging modalities (eg, CT with MRI) within the AR system, ensuring real-time updates.
• Optimize all developed algorithms to run efficiently on the hardware constraints of AR devices such as Magic Leap 2, ensuring low latency and high accuracy in real-time applications.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on computer vision and medical imaging.
• Expertise in 3D image processing techniques, including voxel-based processing, surface extraction, and Point Cloud Processing.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++, with experience in writing performance-critical code for real-time applications.
• Minimum 1-years of hands on experience in computer vision, specifically with a focus on real-time application development, preferably in a medical or AR context.
