Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth by promoting SGS Inspection Services to customers across data centres, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, utilities, and industrial sectors.
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and consultative selling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, facility owners, EPCs, and key decision-makers.
  • Understand customers' operational and compliance requirements, and recommend appropriate inspection, environmental monitoring, EHS, and technical assurance solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including customer visits, presentations, quotations, tender submissions, negotiations, contract reviews, and project handover.
  • Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline while achieving individual sales and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and operations teams to ensure accurate service proposals and successful project delivery.
  • Monitor market trends, upcoming projects, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.
  • Represent SGS at industry events, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and customer engagements.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and monthly sales reports.
  • Promote cross-selling opportunities across SGS service portfolios to maximise customer value.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in business development or technical sales within inspection, testing, certification, engineering consultancy, EHS, facilities management, environmental services, or industrial services.
  • Experience serving customers in data centres, critical infrastructure, commercial buildings, manufacturing, construction, or utilities will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with inspection services such as environmental monitoring, water quality, EHS inspections, statutory inspections, mechanical & electrical inspections, or compliance services is preferred.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to identify customer needs and translate them into technical service solutions.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems,
