Pacific Life Re Hiring! Full Time Actuarial Pricing Intern in - Ricebowl

Duties:

Required to work closely and proactively with the pricing actuaries and client managers in the team on various aspects of reinsurance pricing, such as:

• Support the pricing of reinsurance quotes, including modelling, analysis and documentation
• Assist in assumption setting, through derivation of assumptions and documentation for mortality/morbidity risks
• Assist in conducting experience reviews for in-force reinsurance treaties, including collating data, analysis and results documentation
• Provide support on other ad-hoc pricing initiatives or tasks where required (e.g. actuarial model enhancements, treaty review etc.)

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science or relevant
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and programming
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with a proactive attitude toward self-learning and independent problem-solving
• Good understanding of actuarial valuation principles, i.e. having completed actuarial life contingency course
• Detail oriented with the ability to work to timelines
