A Test Technician at Sanmina in Penang is responsible for troubleshooting, testing, and calibrating printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies to component level. They operate specialized electronic test equipment, repair defective units, and support new product introductions (NPI) to ensure manufacturing quality and efficiency. Core Responsibilities
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct tests on customer products using PC-based computer systems and various electronic test equipment.
- Defect Analysis: Troubleshoot printed circuit board (PCB) failures down to the component level and perform repairs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, calibrate, and set up test fixtures and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Process Improvement: Assist with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives to improve production yield and efficiency.
- Technical Support: Liaise with sub-contractors and engineers, providing hands-on debug support for production test systems.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Typically requires a Diploma, Associate’s Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Technology, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
- Experience: Usually 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in PCBA manufacturing, testing, and electronic debugging.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electro-mechanical production processes, ability to read schematics, and familiarity with PCB design.
- Soft Skills: Good communication, ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team, and willingness to learn.
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
