Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce the Company's Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management System across all project sites.
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Factories and Machinery Act (FMA), DOSH regulations, and other applicable legal requirements.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Review and verify HIRARC, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) documentation before work commences.
• Monitor compliance with safe work procedures, PPE requirements, housekeeping standards, and site safety rules.
• Ensure Emergency Response Plans (ERP), first aid facilities, firefighting equipment, and welfare facilities are maintained and readily available.
• Monitor subcontractors' compliance with HSE requirements and statutory regulations.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and HSE training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Coordinate specialised safety training for high-risk activities such as lifting operations, scaffolding, and working at height.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare investigation reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports, including NADOOPOD, JKKP 8, Monthly Safety & Health Reports, and other statutory documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, permits, safety meetings, training, and other HSE documentation.
• Liaise with DOSH, BOMBA, Police, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other relevant authorities on HSE matters.
• Support internal and external HSE audits and continuously improve the Company's Safety Management System.
• Keep up to date with industry best practices, renewable energy safety standards, and changes to HSE legislation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Valid DOSH Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Competency Certificate (Yellow Book) is mandatory.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in construction, Solar PV installation, electrical engineering, or renewable energy projects.
• Experience in utility-scale or commercial Solar PV projects is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of OSHA, FMA, DOSH regulations, HIRARC, JHA, PTW systems, Working at Height requirements, Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO), Emergency Response Procedures (ERP), and construction safety best practices.
• Certification or training in Working at Height (WAH), Scaffolding Safety, Lifting Operations, Rigging & Slinging, Lifting Supervision, First Aid, CPR & AED, or Electrical Safety will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, report writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple project sites.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence, own transportation, and be willing to travel to project sites across Malaysia.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
