Key Responsibilities
A. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify electrical faults on manufacturing machinery and production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, motors, control panels, PLCs, sensors, inverters (VFDs), and automation equipment.
- Support the maintenance of laser cutting machines, CNC machines, press brakes, welding machines, air compressors, overhead cranes, and other fabrication equipment.
- Analyse recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve machine reliability.
B. Electrical Engineering & Project Support
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, relocation, and upgrading of machinery and electrical systems.
- Prepare and review electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors during electrical installation and maintenance works.
C. Production Support
- Provide technical support to production teams by resolving electrical and control system issues promptly.
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality departments to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
- Recommend engineering solutions to improve machine performance, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities to reduce equipment breakdowns.
E. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, electrical drawings, equipment history, and service reports.
- Prepare maintenance schedules, technical reports, and improvement proposals.
- Update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and preventive maintenance checklists.
G. Other Duties
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians when required.
- Assist in training operators on the proper and safe operation of machinery.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of working experience as an Electrical Engineer in a metal fabrication, sheet metal, steel manufacturing, or engineering manufacturing environment.
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial machinery, automation systems, and production equipment is preferred.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, control panels, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with fabrication machinery such as laser cutting machines, CNC machines, press brakes, welding equipment, and air compressor systems will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance practices and root cause analysis.

- Good planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or other electrical design software is an added advantage.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
