Job Summary
You will manage FF&E across all design phases (Ph1 to Ph4), driving project concept, branding, sourcing, sample board preparation, and specification production to ensure timely, high-quality delivery aligned with client agreements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design team to develop concepts and design details that meet project goals
- Select and prepare FF&E presentations showcasing materials and finishes for client approval
- Coordinate furniture layouts, perspectives, and 2D/3D renderings with design teams to support design development
- Ensure all designs comply with contractual obligations and client agreements through detailed review
- Manage project timelines to complete FF&E assignments within deadlines
- Facilitate coordination and communication with consultants and clients as needed to resolve project issues
- Prepare comprehensive FF&E specifications and documentation for tender and construction phases
- Review shop drawings from suppliers and contractors to verify compliance with design intent
- Attend site meetings and conduct site/factory inspections to assess materials and furniture quality
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with flexibility and prioritization skills
- Assist in overseeing FF&E designers’ work quality and project contributions
- Coordinate, delegate tasks, provide constructive feedback, and mentor subordinates to enhance team performance
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Architectural or Interior Design or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant FF&E experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Ability to interpret specifications and layouts accurately to inform design decisions
- Awareness of global design trends and FF&E supply markets to inform sourcing strategies
- Experience managing projects through all design phases to ensure continuity and quality
- Knowledge of site work and construction progress monitoring as an advantage
- Strong understanding of design principles including composition, planning, materials, furniture, and fixtures
- Skills in design detailing and freehand sketching considered advantageous
- Proficiency in drawing preparation, CAD standards, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail
