Trees Engineering Hiring! Full Time Senior Structural Designer in Federal Territory - Ricebowl

Our client, a global engineering and technology company specializing in energy, LNG, hydrogen, and decarbonization projects, is looking for an S3D Senior Structural Designer to join their team in Kuala Lumpur on a fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently produce technically correct, timely, and cost-effective models, drawings, and technical documentation aligned with project requirements
• Ensure compliance with company design rules and procedures
• Assist and supervise work performed by assigned Designers
• Solve challenging engineering design problems
• Analyze, design, and verify drafting and modelling work
• Coordinate activities to ensure integration into the project and satisfactory client service
• Assist engineering in providing lean solutions and input to tendering
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, company standards, and industry standards
• Provide technical assistance (including checking) for all aspects of project design work
• Originate and check design deliverables (models and technical documentation) per project, statutory, and company guidelines/schedule
• Interface with 3rd party design teams, engineering services, and other disciplines during project execution
• Provide technical assistance on-site as required
• Support additional projects/tenders on an ad hoc basis
• Maintain compliance with Management System procedures
• Assist Engineering Project Manager and Discipline Lead in defining resource requirements and deliverables
• Participate in reporting on task progress, budget, schedule, and lessons learnt
• Attend meetings with Clients, Suppliers, and/or Consultants for technical support
• Prepare tender content and lean manhour estimates as required
• Assist Discipline Lead in developing Technical Notes and Guidelines
• Build positive relationships internally and with external professional entities

Requirements:

• Technical Diploma with minimum 15 years of experience in design and execution of offshore facility projects
• Mandatory working experience in 3D modelling using S3D software
• Knowledge of material take-off and bill of quantities
• Knowledge of joint detailing
• Computer literacy

Nice to Have:

• Working experience in 3D modelling using E3D, Tekla, and/or BOCAD software
• Knowledge of fabrication and brownfield installation
