RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel, assets, and facilities within an organization
To implement and monitor the company's Occupational Health and Safety Policies, programs, and procedures.
Responsible for identifying health & safety hazards and recommending improvement and corrective actions
Trains staff on safety procedures investigates incidents, and coordinates with external agencies such as law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary
DUTIES:
Safety Policies: Implement and ensure the company safety policies are effectively carried out and executed to avert accidents and personal injuries to staff, vendors, and visitors.
Workplace Inspections: To observe, ensure, and implement a company safety policy that requires the use of PPE at all times when within and around the operation areas. Have a keen eye to identify health & safety hazards, risks, and procedures that may cause harm to workers and provide recommendations for improvement.
Accident Investigations: Conduct investigations to identify the root cause, interview persons involved, and come up with the Accident Investigation Report that clearly carries disciplinary taken, recommendations for improvement, counter measures, and a timeline for improvement.
Training: Conduct training on fire prevention plans, fire-fighting, evacuation drills, hazardous material handling, safety, health & First Aid.
Compliance: To ensure all accidents, incidents, and injuries are kept in record as in compliance with OSHA Regulations 1994 (Act 514). All records must be readily available for internal audits as well as for DOSH audits.
Coordinate: To be able to coordinate and work closely with the management and security to ensure orderliness and compliance with safety rules and regulations e.g. traffic management, parking management, use of walkways, smoking zones narcotic abuse, etc. Collaborate and work closely with the local authorities like Bomba, Council, Police, etc.
Implement: Streamline all safety and health practices as is at PKT Group. To establish Safety & Health Committee and Emergency Response Team. To keep the environment clean and safe.
Collaboration: Work closely with the safety personnel from other PKT facilities so that policies and information can be mutually shared.
Local Regulations: To ensure all fire-fighting equipment such as Fire Extinguishers and hoses are maintained, serviced and kept in good order. First Aid kit contents are to be kept replenished and updated.
Reporting: To submit monthly reports of activities carried out to the Head of Department.
Perform any other assignments as and when requested by superior(s) and comply with the company's rules and regulations.
COMPETENCE:
Education Possess a valid Green Book issued by DOSH/JKKP
Experience Minimum 5 years related working experience.
Skills:
Good knowledge of all relevant legislation & regulations related to OSHA 1994 (Act514).
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
