Responsibilities

Position Overview

The Logistics Executive is responsible to track all incoming goods receipt and ensures accurate reporting of incoming goods and the timely handing over to Production or RMA Management for audit/order or RMA processing.

This role also tracks all out-going goods ensuring all goods are packed securely and dispatch arrangements are accurately, safely and cost effectively done through a network of managed logistics service providers free from risk of damage and in adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, reporting any anomalies and delivering a high level of service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities /Accountabilities:

Logistics Administration

  • Responsible in ensuring the proper administration of goods collection and delivery.
  • Ensures documentation is accurate, resolves and reports any inaccuracy or irregularities to management.
  • Ensures the engagement of managed Logistics Service Providers is done with cost effectiveness in mind and that service levels meet the needs and expectations of clients.
  • Ensures all internal documentation GCOs, DOs are executed and completed accurately by personnel.
  • Ensures invoices from managed Logistic Service Providers are checked and accurate before acceptance or distribution to internal teams for processing and manages any inaccuracies and disputes.
  • Ensures all documentation filling is in good order.
  • Handles all insurance related declarations and claims.

Continuous Improvements

  • Identifies possible issues affecting the smooth running of the Logistics operations and suggests solutions for improvement to management.
  • Supports simplification and standardization of processes to improve work productivity and efficiency.

Safety

  • Maintains safety process and procedures, including ensuring proper safety gear is worn at all times.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment and machinery is operated according to the prescribed safety procedures including ensuring the timely service and maintenance takes places.
  • Addresses and corrects any unsafe working conditions and reports these activities to management.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in a relevant field with proven experience in logistics operations.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in working in a Logistic role in a

  • Administration skills with the ability to lead, delegate and manage teams effectively
  • Proficiency in inventory management and inventory management systems.
  • Good problem solving and communication skills for handling operational issues and internal customer/vendor interactions.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and warehouse compliance standards.
  • Ability to multi-task and management competing priorities.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Intermediate computer skills particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Good physical health.
