Mechanical & Electrical Engineer (Manufacturing) | Kuala Lumpur (Rawang / Serendah)
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to support the construction and operation of our client's manufacturing facility in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate engineering designs and construction drawings for assigned areas, ensuring compliance with company standards and project requirements.
- Manage engineering projects from planning through completion, with responsibility for quality, schedule, cost, and safety to ensure successful project delivery.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of plant utility systems, including: HVAC / Dehumidification systems / Compressed Dry Air (CDA) systems / Vacuum systems
- Monitor and optimize facility energy consumption by implementing energy-saving initiatives and improving operational efficiency.
- Lead daily facilities operation and maintenance activities, ensuring stable plant operations, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Plan and execute facility upgrades, modifications, and small-scale engineering projects to support production and operational requirements.
- Supervise and develop Facilities Engineering technicians, including preparing and maintaining SOPs, MOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation for HVAC, electrical, and utility systems.
- Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices, equipment reliability, and engineering performance.
- Ensure full compliance with company Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and actively participate in EHS programs and initiatives.
Requirements
- Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Facilities Engineering, Equipment Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities engineering, utilities operation, or industrial plant construction and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with industrial utility systems, including: HVAC / Water supply and drainage systems / Electrical and power distribution systems / Process utility piping / Industrial plant infrastructure
- Good understanding of engineering standards, construction practices, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility systems.
- Experience in manufacturing environments such as lithium battery, semiconductor, electronics, pharmaceutical, or other high-tech industries is an advantage.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
