Responsibilities

Overview:

Seeking an experienced Senior Front End Engineer to lead the development and enhancement of consumer-facing mobile applications. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, working closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality mobile solutions while supporting ongoing platform improvements and modernization initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and enhancement of consumer-facing mobile applications.
  • Develop and maintain backend services to support new application features.
  • Drive best practices in software development, testing, code quality, and documentation.
  • Review code and mentor engineers to maintain high engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to improve user experience and deliver new features.
  • Support migration away from legacy systems and contribute to platform modernization.
  • Manage development priorities, sprint planning, and task tracking using Agile methodologies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery and data integration.
  • Stay current with emerging mobile technologies and engineering best practices.


Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on mobile application development.
  • Strong experience with React Native, iOS, and/or Android development.
  • Backend development experience using Node.js.
  • Experience building applications in cloud environments (preferably AWS).
  • Familiarity with modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, DevOps, OTA updates, feature flags, and trunk-based development.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, and application performance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
